Repair + Resetting Services
Depending on a cemeteries terrain, as well as, a memorials foundation, monuments can lean over time. That uneven settling can be stressful on any gravestone; whether a single tablet or one made of multiple pieces.
Stabilization techniques can be used to retain the structural integrity of a gravestone with minimal intervention to its historic architecture.
With proper monument maintenance, our ancestor’s historical artifact can be preserved for many generations to come.
Before repairing or resetting a stone, we perform an assessment. The assessment determines the best technique to use that will slow the deterioration process and preserve the stone.

Cleaning Services
Outdoor elements can offer unique challenges to various types of gravestones. Bird droppings, for example, can leave permanent stains on certain types of stone.
Plant life can lead to the deterioration of a stone by trapping moisture on and under the gravestone’s surface. Moisture can then lead to the natural growth of organic materials.
Organic materials, such as, algae, fungi, lichen and mold can dissolve concrete, limestone, marble and sandstone with acid secretions. Their acid can also dissolve mortar.
Granite, which is commonly used today for its durability, is still susceptible to outdoor elements and deterioration. It just takes longer for the same effects to show.
Before cleaning a stone, we perform an assessment. The assessment determines what type of stone it is and if it can be cleaned. If a stone shows signs of deterioration, cleaning it could do it more harm.
Please note that not all types of stones can be cleaned in the same manner. Sandstone is an example of a stone we would perform a light cleaning on followed by a biocide to remove biological growth without causing deterioration of the monument.
